I have been proactively improving my texturing skills in my free time. I used the Artstation learning video created by Jason Ord called 'Substance Painter: Pushing Your Texturing Further' to create a vintage hand drill form scratch. Just want to thank Jason Ord for the Artstation resource and giving out helpful Painter advice on his video.

I created the Vintage Hand Drill low ply model in Autodesk Maya. High poly sculpt was done in Zbrush, adding some small details to the model. I did the baking in Marmoset Toolbag 4. Lastly, Substance 3D Painter was mainly for texturing purposes. There was one situation where I used Substance 3D Sampler to create a wood material from scratch, which I photo sourced the wood myself. I enjoyed doing the hand drill and had a lot of fun. I did take my own photos of a wood texture I made from scratch. I also did some hand painted techniques to show that the texturing became unique to my own art style. Feel free to leave a like or comment below for this artwork! Thank you for viewing my games asset on Artstation!
