Hello everyone, here is my viking shield I did for a games asset that I spent a couple of days on. I used some of my free time to improve on my high to low poly baking and practice some more Zbrush organic sculpting. I wanted to make sure that my breakdowns and presentation was clean and tidy to the viewer. I used one 2K texture map to ensure it runs smoothly in a game engine (2048 x 2048 - Albedo, Normal, Roughness, Metallic and Ambient Occlusion). Inspiration came from the video game 'WWE 2K Battlegrounds' where they had Scotland arena full of viking shields. I decided to create my own viking shield from scratch to keep the work productivity going. Being able to get back into the games art pipeline is a good feeling and hoping it shows I am improving my portfolio. Hope you like what you have seen from my artwork!
